THE RISEN CHRIST!

Happy Easter celebrations to you dearly beloved!

Trust you had a wonderful celebrations. Now, it doesn’t have to be a huge funfair to be a celebration. Your observance of the holiday is a form of celebration on its own even though it may seem passive.

Yes, Jesus Christ arose from the dead, and that is the core of mankind’s salvation. The redemption man sought for since the beginning of creation was actualized through the death and resurrection of Jesus Christ.

So, the celebration continues in our way of life. How are we maximising this reality, that is, our life in Jesus Christ. He said in Luke 9:23And he said to them all, If any man will come after me, let him deny himself, and take up his cross daily, and follow me. As we continue in our day to day activities, it is important that we continue in the understanding of the reality of the saved life. To consciously walk in victory of the works of the flesh, in taking up the cross daily.

We take the cross daily in our choices by considering that which is the WILL OF GOD. Choosing righteous living and attitude in all ways. The Lord continually help us in Jesus name!

PRAISE GOD, FROM WHOM ALL BLESSINGS FLOW

Hello Beloved, how are you today?
I know the thought of blessing has come to you today. So, I ask, the blessing that you sow desire, From who is it coming?

Many times, as humans, when situations arise, our first thought is How?, How do I move from here? How do I step out of this situation? Then we begin to think of ways to come to terms with the situation; we begin to explore our options. I want to encourage you today, as I am also talking to myself: It is God who gives. He is the one that supplies all that we can every have.

Let’s see John 3 vs 27, ……….. A man can receive nothing, except it be given him from heaven. Also, a popular hymn says, ………….Oh what peace we often forfeit, Oh what needless pain we bear, all because we do not carry everything to God in prayer.
As we continue the new year with God, we should always remember that all blessing flows from God, and he is always willing to give unto us freely.
Shalom!

NEW BEGINNING

COME, THOU FOUNTAIN OF BLESSING

Author: Robert Robinson (1758)
Alterer: Martin Madan (1760)

1. Come, thou Fount of every blessing;
tune my heart to sing thy grace;
streams of mercy, never ceasing,
call for songs of loudest praise.
Teach me some melodious sonnet,
sung by flaming tongues above;
praise the mount! I’m fixed upon it,
mount of God’s unchanging love!

2. Here I raise my Ebenezer;
hither by thy help I’m come;
and I hope, by thy good pleasure,
safely to arrive at home.
Jesus sought me when a stranger,
wandering from the fold of God;
he, to rescue me from danger,
interposed his precious blood.

3. O to grace how great a debtor
daily I’m constrained to be!
Let that grace now, like a fetter,
bind my wandering heart to thee.
Prone to wander, Lord, I feel it,
prone to leave the God I love;
here’s my heart; O take and seal it;
seal it for thy courts above.

This is a hymn that speaks of grace, it reminds us of the great work of salvation of our Lord Jesus Christ. We see the joy of salvation exuding from the heart of the writer of the hymn, Oh, what sweetness, what blessedness. The Love of the Lord Jesus Christ is unwavering, overly sufficient to us as we come to his presence.

In the midst of our world with constant and almost unending need, there are always times when we can only rely on the ever-open arms of God’s love. Laying all of our cares and burdens at his feet, even in the face of those needs, as we look up to him, he will satisfy the need, according to His need in glory.

This fountain of blessing also helps our weakness, as seen in the third verse of that hymn, it says – Let that grace now, like a fetter, bind my wandering heart to thee. The grace of God that has delivered us from darkness into His marvellous light (1 Peter 2 vs 9b) is also able to keep us a pleasing vessel unto Him who has redeemed us.
We are prone to wander, because we are still in the world, the allures of the world is always around us, but as we have our desire, to please the Lord who has saved us, sanctified and whole to the glory of the Father, we keep praying to him, believing that he can save to the very end (Hebrews 7 vs 25), all those who trust in him.
